HOLLYWOOD ROYALTY is a really fun read. If you like reading about the Hollywood scene, you’ll definitely enjoy Ms. Dean’s brand new series. I have to say I was pretty partial to Amelie and JoJo, the two girls who were a little more outcast. I love how Ms. Dean connected the characters, including the unlikely pairing of Amelie and Jake, and JoJo and someone who used to be really close to Myla. Even though Myla could be a bit of a bitch at times, even she was relatable at times. Hands down my favorite scenes in the book were the ones between Jake and Amelie, especially the first meet and when Myla discovers JoJo hanging out with her recent ex. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Dean has in store for these four great characters!

It doesn’t seem like the Carlyle triplets Avery, Owen and Baby have only been in Manhattan for only a week. They haven’t even begun to make their mark despite the party that managed to get the cops called and Avery taken to the police station. But not everything is smooth sailing for the triplets, Baby’s trying to get back in the good books at Constance Billard, Avery’s already got one frenemy in Jack, and Owen’s trying to get over Kelsey, who just happens to be the ex-girlfriend of one of his good friends from the swim team. What will happen if Rhys finds out that Owen’s the real reason Kelsey broke up with him?

The Carlyles are a great addition to the Gossip Girl series. I have to say I’m partial to Owen and Baby. Jack’s the perfect bad girl, out to oust Avery from her inner circle of friends but with Avery knowing the truth about her financial situation, Jack is practically being blackmailed till the truth comes out and then Jack is hopeful it’ll send Avery out of Constance Billard, out of Manhattan and straight out of New York. I loved Owen having to struggle with the fact he’s interested in Kelsey, but knowing Rhys is still into her as well. The swim team scenes with Owen and Rhys are actually some of my favorite in the book.

Fans of the Gossip Girl series won’t go wrong picking this one up.

Alicia is thrilled to be spending her summer in Spain. She’s planning on wearing her designer wardrobe and hanging out with her favorite sixteen year old cousins Celia and Isobel Callas. What she is not expecting to do is spend her time abroad stuck with her annoying, klepto cousin Nina twenty-four/seven and having to work a horrendous job, to repay a debt that her parents should have taken care of, considering it really wasn’t all her fault. Add in the fact the newest pop sensation is staying in the hotel to cast his hot new video that Alicia's desperate to be cast in. But the singer as is as reclusive as it gets and all anyone sees of him is his arm dangling over the balcony.

Alicia finds herself stuck rooming with her annoying cousin Nina while Celia and Isobel raid her closet and leave her behind all the time, even getting into exclusive parties at the hotel that i! himself is supposed to be at. But the only attention she’s getting is from a slightly annoying British guy who can’t seem to leave her alone. If only she could rid herself of him and Nina, she might actually find herself having a good time.

I have to say ALICIA is my favorite book in the ‘Summer Collection’ so far. There were some great twists involving the cousins and the singer that I truly didn’t see coming. And there’s a lot of great moments that will keep readers entertained and wishing there was more pages to the story. I loved the way Ms. Harrison wrapped things up with the cousins finally getting what they truly deserved. Can’t wait for the rest of the girls’ stories in the summer series.

Janie Farrish, Petra Greene, Charlotte Beverwil, and Melissa Moon are four girls who couldn't be more different if they tried. So how can they be expected to co-exist? They can't—except when the four of them are paired up for a "special studies" class at school, involving the one thing they have in common, fashion. But can the four girls with widely different thoughts about what the special studies class should entail actually work together or further alienate each other more?

I really enjoyed POSEUR. It was a fun read, with lots of potential for the next book in the series. Janie is pretty well the star of the first book, with a lot of the action centered on her. It's hard enough to be Janie without having to deal with the fact that her brother has suddenly become popular and is hanging out with Charlotte Beverwil, Janie's sworn enemy. But when the two have to work together as part of 'The Trend Set', their special studies group, things get downright combustible, especially when Charlotte thinks Janie's the reason her brother Jake is starting to pull away from her.

One of the highlights of this book is the launch party for the Trend Set's clothing line, a line that actually doesn't quite yet exist. Forced to wear outfits the others designed for them, only Janie is actually happy with what was made for her while the others are anything but. Can the girls actually bond when it's one disaster after another? Or will they cave and give up once and for all?

I look forward to reading the next in this enjoyable series, due out in September 2008.
